How To Start A Free Shoutcast Stream & Embed It In Your Xat Chat

I started my own Shoutcast stream a year ago, and seen that there was a way to embed it right into an Xat Chat Box. I tried everything to learn how to do it, and even searched the internet for a how to and was unable to find one, so I thought id write one for everyone.

Step One The First step should be to get yourself a stream provider like GStreaming.com, and download the free version  of Winamp, or buy Sam Broadcaster. Now when you get your stream info from whoever you use to provide the server you'll get a URL, a Password, and a Port Number like 80.126.88.145  password 574ghee and port 3426 . Now configuring your Winamp, Or Sam Broadcaster is easy, just enter that info under the configuration tab. But when it come to embedding the stream in an Xat chat its a bit harder.

Step Two  Make sure to register for Xat at www.xat.com, after you do click create a group. You'll see that you can chose any background you want, size, tags, name, and url. After all this is finshed click done and your croup will be done, everything but the stream. On the Xat Chat click Edit Chat and a window will open click add extras and it will take you to xat, scroll down and you'll see where you can enter your stream Titled Radio Station in that box you want to combine your stream URL and Port should look like this  http://80.126.88.145:3426   after thats done click update these options and if your Winamp, or Sam is broadcasting you will hear it right in the chat via the music box which you can see in the photo about.ou
