Bright lights over Florida

This may sound to some people like I'm crazy,and if I would have read it a month ago,id think the same thing.Early this morning at 5:40 A.M. I got up to take my dog for a walk.About two minutes into the walk,I turned to the North West from my location in South West Florida,and seen a very bright light.This light was brighter than anything I've ever seen.It was coming in from the Gulf of Mexico,and appeared to be stationary.I stood there for about twenty seconds not believing what I was looking at.I thought to myself to go and get a camera,but my camera/video recorder had broke last month,but I knew their was a disposable one in the house.

As I ran in the house,it took me about twenty seconds to find the camera.When I grabbed it,I seen it was full.So I ran back out,just to take another look.As I walked out the door,I looked to the North West,but nothing was there.Just then I found it,it was right over my house,about 5-6000 feet.I stood there,and looked up,and all I could see is this very orange looking bright light,coming from one source.It did not appear to have any shape to it,just circular.After thirty seconds of looking at it above my house,the light went out in a split second.I was scared,and ran in the house.I laid in bed for about an hour,trying to think about what I had seen.

When I got up,around nine a.m. I searched the Internet hoping someone else seen them,and maybe got it on tape.The only thing I have found was about a meteor in Canada,that lit up the sky,but I don't think it was the same time.Lights like this have been reported all around the country in the last few months.For now all I can do,is try and find someone else that can back up my story.This was the first,and I hope the last time Ive ever seen something like that.If anyone knows anything please leave a comment or message.

While on one of my normal sites,I found a story,and photo that may relate to my story.A man,and his daughter were driving in Orlando,when the girl said Dad look at that formation,and she took a picture.It was to late for the dad to see it,but when they got the film back,there it was.It looks very close to what I seen two day before they seen it.Im going to post the link to that story and photo below.Check it out.

My story Bright Lights over Florida,has been updated with new evidence
Five of us in Central Florida saw something similar about 8-8:30 p.m. Jan. 21, 2009. We looked to the west. We are in Highlands County
We are seeing it again. It's 8:21 p.m. Jan. 22, 2009. Stable, one of us used binos to look at it and he seems to think it's cylindrical, left to right. I'm still holding out that's a star or planet, but it's disappearance after a brief time doesn't make sense. When I found this blog earlier today, I had not realized the postings were two months old.

has anyone notice a bright light in miami that's been showing up lately around 8:00pm and disappears arounf 9:30pm?
IF you notice each night the strange light changes positions also if live near the two schools Thomas Jefferson and Biscayne gardens you should be able to see it.
October 11 2010 morning at 6:20 till around 6:40 in the SW Florida sky. It remained staionary. I used my binoculars and could cleary see a round electrical field changing colors of red greens blues etc.. It disappeared from view at the sun rise. I have no idea what it was but definately nothing I have see before

The way you describe the sighting, your sighting was in August????? that is when my sighting happened, and it sounds very similar to mine, except mine has a twist, i cannot or i do not wish to post it here, but i will sometime tell the story to you.. my sighting happened Very close to the time that yours did...it was an Amber colored light and it hovered right above me and my children... and it affected me, and the environment. and my children.
My girlfriend and I jus saw two different sightings over Sarasota. Bout 15 mins ago. Bright orange lights heading south. So weird. 1st one was jus 1 light and the other had 3 lights side by side. No sound or trail.
I jus saw the same thing last night in sarasota! it looked like a star movin through the sky and then it took a sudden left turn. Got very bright and starting moving in the opposite direction! ive never seen anything like it in my life and my friend that doesnt believe in in ufos or anything paranormal was there to witness it! We are still in shock!

Your photos are very interesting. I believe in UFOs because we have seen them here. One night while sitting on our dock one flew over us so slow you would think it was going to fall out of the sky.
Hope you find someone else that has saw this.
